British musician Jerskin Fendrix made his feature composition debut for the 2023 film Poor Things, directed by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos.
Los Angeles Times critic Justin Chang singled out Fendrix's 'unruly, dissonant score', claiming it 'plays like something piped in directly from Bella’s transplanted psyche'. Fendrix’s score for the Golden Globe winning film saw him honoured with the 2023 Georges Delerue Award for Best Soundtrack/Sound Design during the 50th edition of Film Fest Gent, before being nominated for Best Original Score at the 96th Academy Awards.
